— ABOUT US —
Righting Society SRL is a consultancy group that was founded in Brussels in December 2024 with the aim to expand the work around a rights-based approach to development, cooperation, corporate learning and strategic management.
It operates through three axes, namely: strategic consultancy; capacity engagement, mutual learning and exchange; and action research.
It draws on the expertise of well-known and established senior leaders as well as younger critical thinkers based in the Global North and the Global South. It pushes the boundaries of the non-profit and for-profit sectors by fostering and/or producing new and cutting-edge knowledge, approaches and in-depth learning.
Its main mission is to drive plural, diverse and inclusive rights-centred knowledge, strategy and leadership. Its work is inspired and grounded in the values of empathy, hope, knowledge, connection, transparency, partnership, purpose, gratitude and prosperity.
Among its main areas of expertise lies international human rights law, international development, women's rights and gender equality, social and economic rights, policy and advocacy, corporate responsibility as well as environment, social and governance. Some of the tools used to drive internal and external changes include peer learning, focus group discussions, desk-based review, discourse analysis, outcome harvesting, key informant interviews, participant observation, policy analysis, team building and gamification.
Our visual identity is inspired by the Bhuddist Eternal Knot which is the symbol of interconnectedness and interdependence of all beings. It represents infinite wisdom, compassion, and the cyclical, interdependent nature of all phenomena, including life, death and rebirth. It acknowledges that everything is linked, reminding us that all beings and events are part of one vast, interwoven and unified fabric. Just like the eternal knot, human rights form one single universal system for human dignity and justice. Human rights are interconnected, interrelated and indivisible. This means that all civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights are of equal value and reliant upon each other for their full enjoyment.
In addition to that, our logo indicates that our work is circumscribed by the values of empathy, hope, co-creation of knowledge, meaningful connections, transparency, mutual partnerships, joint purpose, gratitude and shared prosperity. This means that all our work is oriented and carried out within the boundaries of those values. This is our vision for a world where human rights are respected and all beings thrive.

Our Team is
— Driven by Passion —
For Rights-Enabling and Life-Affirming Futures for All
Our Work is
— Grounded in Values —
Empathy, Hope, Knowledge, Meaningful Connections, Transparency, Mutual Partnerships, Joint Purpose, Gratitude and Shared Prosperity
Our Results are
— Aimed at Impact —
Through Strategic Thinking, Evidence-Based Decision Making, Creative, Cutting-Edge and Innovative Tools and Knowledge Creation
— WE DARE TO HOPE IN ALTERNATIVE FUTURES —
The current erosion of trust undermining the rule of law and human rights is not inevitable. We believe that these are the results of deliberate choices that fail to put human rights, wellbeing and dignity front and centre. This means that alternatives that protect people and planet are not only possible but actually within arms reach.
With over two decades of in-depth experience across the development sector, working with civil society, policy makers and the private sector, both from a practitioner as well as an academic lens, we bring wealth of knowledge, ideas, passion and energy into this area of work. By doing that, we bridge the gap between research and real-world impact.
